It is essential that Machine Safeguarding devices including electro sensitive protective equipment (for example:light curtains, Safety gate systems etc.) are properly configured and installed and undergo regular inspection. The scope and schedule of the inspection is defined in various national regulations such as OSHA in the USA, BetrSichV in Germany and PUWER in the UK. The level of inspection required is related to the Risk Assessment.
